Fortunately for Cernunnos, his phone was unscathed and had been stored at Hogwarts. On the flip side, he needed to get a new wand. He decided that would wait as he wanted to spend time with some of his Muggle peers first, especially as he managed to come up with a logical excuse for why he hadn't been responding to their texts: a digital detox. They didn't need to know that he was being held in reprehensible conditions and partook in a battle that happened to be at his school for that week or so that he didn't text. Cernunnos didn't want to risk breaching the statute anyway; at least he could talk about it with his one neighborhood best friend due to her little brother also going to Hogwarts.
