The slowest burn (Draco)

The slowest burn (Draco)
Theodore felt as though he had gained some level of control in his household. Alayna had been sent away and Atticus had been warned about a similar fate. No matter how much Daphne had protested, she had subjected herself to a compliant and doting wife once more. At the moment she was visiting Alayna abroad, and the manor had been pleasantly quiet.
He had invited Draco over for dinner and drinks, but it hadn’t been long since his daughter’s passing. He wondered whether he would show up.
Theo had made an effort, and was wearing his favourite three-piece suit freshly pressed by the family house elf. His hair was slicked and neat. He recalled the time when Draco had been dressing for the Yule ball in their first year, and Theodore had told him he wouldn’t be attending. He liked seeing Draco in his dress robes back then.
Hopefully Draco would arrive soon...

Re: The slowest burn (Draco)
Draco was surprised but also elated that Theo had invited him over for dinner, he thought that it would be a decent distraction from planning his daughter's funeral. He never thought that he would lose Carina as young as she was, when he heard it was from the same thing that killed his wife he feared for his other daughter and hoped that she did not inherit as well.
Draco had his house elf go and get him a new suit, he wanted to look good for his friend he really did not know why he cared so much about how well he looked, he just chalked it down to his father's words of advice always look your best. He studied himself in the mirror for several minutes before he slicked his hair to the side, now he was ready to go and dine with his friend, who he had heard his wife was out of town which seemed slightly strange to him but he was not going to let this opportunity pass him by.
Apparating himself to the manor, he knocked on the door and was promptly escorted in by the Nott family's house elf. Seeing Theo he knew his friend had put out all the stops and my did he look good, "Looking good, my friend and thank you for this invite during this tough time," Draco said with a hint of a smile on his face, a rare thing over the past couple weeks.

Re: The slowest burn (Draco)
Theodore was pleased that Draco had kept up his sense of class when it came to presenting himself. Despite his lack of support for the Death Eaters, at least there were some things that had remained. Theo wished to sway his opinion on the matter, but he knew that would be difficult.
”You are looking extremely well, given the circumstances.”
Theo was not fond of Carina, but her death was still a solemn affair.
”Wine.” He said pointedly to the house elf, before leading his friend into the living room.
”Sit,” He said graciously, taking a seat himself. A pleasing scent entered through his lungs, and at once he felt pleasantly nostalgic of it. The dormitory. At night, when Theodore couldn’t sleep (and he had always been a light sleeper) he would look at Draco’s sleeping head. Sleek, blonde hair. He remembered having a mad desire to touch it. He wondered if it was something Draco had always worn in his hair, or if it was just his natural scent. ”It’s just me here today, you see. Daphne is visiting Alayna. She is an insufferable woman, quite unlike Astoria. I grow more impatient with her at each passing day.”
He just found himself saying this without really thinking.
