Parker had been studying for his OWLS, having constantly been receiving OWLS from his parents about trying to do well, and not end up like his sisters. It hurt him that his parents treated his sisters like shit and that they didn't matter, they were his sisters. Everyone apparently was better than them, and it pissed him off but he needed a place to stay, and he wasn't about to live with Sadie.
